London photographer Alec McLeish started exploring the world through his lens when he was 17 years old. Today he shoots documentary work; capturing those intimate moments that often go unnoticed. McLeish describes documentary photography as honest; stating that candid shots are the best way to capture a person how he or she really is.
The part of photography I find most exhilarating is the feeling after you’ve just taken a picture, everything you wanted came together in that second and then the excitement of finishing that roll, processing it and then finally seeing that one frame, as a physical object in front of you, I think thats the bit I enjoy the most, the anticipation of seeing that split second again.
